Osun State Governor Directs Food Security Committee to Implement Hunger Alleviation Policies
Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has instructed the state Ministry of Agriculture and the Food Security Committee to implement policies aimed at alleviating hunger and economic hardship. He emphasized the need for timely action plans to ensure food access, farm security, and affordability.
Governor Adeleke announced plans to start distributing farm equipment, seedlings, fertilizers, and tractors next week. He also directed the Ministry of Science and Innovations to implement ICT policies to create jobs and engage the youth.
Expressing optimism about the committee’s impact on food inflation, Governor Adeleke urged the state task force on petrol monitoring to engage with marketers to prevent hoarding and exploitation, emphasizing the government’s commitment to serving the people.
