### Group Launches Contributory Farming Machinery Project to Boost Agriculture in Kwara
A multi-million naira farming machinery project has been launched to enhance food security in Kwara State. The project was inaugurated at the flag-off ceremony of ‘Agbeloba’, a contributory scheme designed to eradicate poverty and empower farmers for a brighter future.
During the launch event held in Ajegunle, Oke-Onigbin, in the Isin local government area, the Chief Operating Officer of the Keycom Foundation, Mr. Elijah Morakinyo, emphasized that the project aligns with the foundation’s mission of supporting others and addressing agricultural challenges.
“Aligned with our mission to support others and address agricultural challenges, the Agbeloba contributory scheme aims to provide manpower, loans, security, and health schemes to farmers across various categories,” Morakinyo stated.
Morakinyo, accompanied by the traditional ruler of Onigbin of Oke Onigbin, Oba Alhaji Salaudeen Kamaldeen, and other traditional dignitaries, visited the Keycom factory site. He commended the farmers for their dedication to farming and their contributions to society through their produce. He also thanked the traditional rulers for fostering an enabling environment for farmers and protecting them from external threats.
The Royal Father of the day, HRM Oba Kamaldeen, blessed the project site and expressed his admiration for Keycom’s efforts in Oke-Onigbin. He encouraged farmers to support the scheme, recognizing its potential to improve their livelihoods.
The event was attended by several dignitaries, including the Baale of Iwo Community, the Mogaji of Ajegunle Land, and Chief Osoolo – High Chief Abdulganiyu, among others.
