Niger State Governor Umaru Bago emphasized that investment in agriculture is crucial for transforming the state’s narrative and creating prosperity for its residents.
Speaking at a dinner marking the one-year anniversary of his administration, held at the Justice Idris Legbo Kutigi International Conference Centre in Minna, the Governor highlighted the state’s strong agricultural potential. He reiterated his administration’s commitment to ensuring food sufficiency and socio-economic prosperity.
Governor Bago noted that Niger State has attracted several local and international agricultural investments and encouraged residents to embrace the government’s agricultural initiatives for an improved quality of life.
He also expressed gratitude for the existing cooperation among the executive, legislative, and judicial branches of the state government, promising to continue strengthening this collaboration for the state’s overall benefit.
The event featured musical performances by artists from within and outside the state, the cutting of the anniversary cake, and the presentation of gifts to the Governor.
