Ondo State Governor, Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has engaged Global Olabod Resources Limited to bolster security in the state, focusing on protecting farmers in forest reserves.
The company will work alongside Amotekun and other security agencies to eliminate criminal elements.
“The governor is committed to ensuring food availability by safeguarding farmers across the state,” said Mr. Eniola Ogunbodede, Chairman of Global Olabod Resources Limited.
This initiative aims to respond to farmers’ concerns over threats from criminals.
“Governor Aiyedatiwa wants farmers to feel secure, knowing that both they and their farms are protected,” Ogunbodede added.
The Chairman of the Farmers’ Association, Mr. Solomon Akinwole, commended the government’s efforts to address kidnapping and attacks on farmers. Community Leader, Mr. Jaiyeoba Akingbade, pledged full cooperation, noting that many farmers had abandoned their lands due to fears of threats from herdsmen.
