Hon. Ismail Haruna Dabo, the Member Representing Toro Federal Constituency of Bauchi State, has officially launched the distribution of fertilizers worth N54 million to support local farmers. The initiative, known as Haske Farmers Care, began in 2023 and aims to benefit thousands of farmers, including women’s groups, across the 17 wards of the constituency. This program is designed to enhance agricultural productivity and support economic growth in the region.
During the flag-off ceremony, Dabo emphasized his commitment to empowering farmers and promoting sustainable agricultural practices. Beneficiaries expressed their gratitude, noting the timely nature of the support given the high cost of fertilizers. The event saw attendance from various stakeholders, including former representatives and party leaders, who commended Dabo’s efforts.
Dabo also pledged to advocate for the establishment of an orthopedic hospital in Toro Local Government and cautioned youths against engaging in destructive activities. He highlighted the urgency and local funding behind the fertilizer distribution, as federal allocations had yet to arrive.
This initiative underscores Dabo’s dedication to prioritizing agriculture as a key driver of economic development in his constituency.
