First Lady Oluremi Tinubu pledges to reinstate Young Farmers Club in schools nationwide during the 2024 Children’s Day celebration at the State House banquet hall in Abuja.
She emphasized the importance of encouraging agricultural interest among the youth and announced plans to establish the club in state-owned primary and secondary schools. Each student will have their garden to cultivate, with awards promised for the best-performing school farm, including upgrades to facilities such as libraries and laboratories. Additionally, she awarded a grant of N10 million to each of the sixteen participating schools from the Federal Capital Territory as part of the event’s celebrations.
