According to a statement issued today by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President, Dr. Adesina’s recognition places him among esteemed figures such as Nigeria’s Nobel Laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka, former South African President Thabo Mbeki, and distinguished lawyer-educationist Chief Afe Babalola.
President Tinubu praised Dr. Adesina’s visionary efforts, noting that they have brought about a revolution in agriculture in Africa, contributing significantly to ensuring food security. He also acknowledged Dr. Adesina’s transformative initiatives that revamped Nigeria’s agricultural value chains during his tenure as Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.
